Family Day at the library...

We lazed around all morning but decided to get up and leave the house!  We decided to hit the library downtown- educational and free, minus parking!  :)

So we headed downtown and when we got to the library we saw a sign for a free Valentines corsage making class!  FUN.  So the girls and I went to participate- Matt and Daddy could not be convinced to participate.

After we finished with our class we headed up to the 4th floor - the children's area.  It was pretty crowded- not my cup of tea, but we stayed.  We had been there a few minutes when they announced a puppet show in the other room, so we went to see what it was. 

A celebration for Chinese New Year- they had Indonesian Shadow Puppets!  It was really neat, the puppeteer was very good, excited about what he does and a good teacher.  After he demonstrated and told a few stories the kids got to become puppeteers too!  Emily was all over that!  So Daddy was asked to be the monitor- the light behind the stage is very hot so they didn't want any kids touching it.

We had a really good day!  Emily got in a little trouble and was sent to her room when we got home, but she fell asleep and slept for over two hours.  She pulled a tooth this morning and I guess she was just fussy, tired.. etc.  I don't remember the last time she slept during the day!

So that is how we had a great day for just the cost of parking!
