Fitness Friday
Okay here we are a week later! This week seems to have been a little harder. I dont know why though. I wanted to snack! It must have been last weeks snack post! Brenda you done me wrong!
No, really I dont think it was the post, it was just that kind of week. I pretty much stayed with my goals minus the water! Just cant seem to make myself do the water no matter how bad I want to! Hey Brenda maybe we should have a water drinking contest! I am competitive! I ate more carbs this week but they were during legitimate meals and still were no where in the ball park of what I would have eaten!!!
My goals this week are as before: but and here is the big but!
I am making water a rule! (I am a rule follower!)
I am also adding that I have to eat breakfast- it is to easy to skip and say I'll have a bigger lunch? That is defeating the purpose, completely!
So Brenda's topic today is if money and time weren't an issue what would you do to exercise. Well this isnt hard at all because I would hire a personal trainer! Someone to tell me what to do all the time! They would have to be really mean and have an accent! As all good personal trainers do!
No really I thought and the first thing I came up with is I would buy a gym membership. Um wait, hold on let me check my bank account..
Okay, I'm back. Yep YMCA just got taken out of my bank account. man I hate that, everyone month about this time money for the YMCA gets taken out of my account! I should really call the bank about that...Oh wait that's my GYM MEMBERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the next thing I took into consideration is time... yeah I cannot stand when gyms are really far away, and you spend more time driving to them than actually working out! That is a real pain.
Directions from A to B:
1: Start out going NORTH on HUCKLEBERRY LN toward EVERGLADE DR. 0.7 mi Map
2: Turn RIGHT onto PASADENA BLVD. 1.5 mi MapAvoid
3: Turn LEFT onto JASMINE DR. 0.4 mi MapAvoid
4: End at 1716 Jasmine Dr Pasadena, TX 77503 Map
Estimated Time: 6 minutes Estimated Distance: 2.58 miles
Okay I guess time isnt my issue! The problem is not money and it isnt time it must merely be ME!
I will work on that this week. You know what I am talking about...what I have to work on...my.laziness.

How cool that you already have a gym membership - close by, at that! If rules work for water then maybe they'll work for exercise too?!
Glad to read about your week - snacks and all!!
OK, I found this totally hlarious because I am totally in the same boat...except my gym membership is literally around the block! I could walk there! Hmmm....that's a novel idea!
I will be in a non laziness competition with you!! And a water one!
At least we know our faults and we know what we need to fix! have a better week next week!
You have a membership at the Y???? Girl. You are out of excuses. NOT that you have to go every day...cause that's a crazy goal. Just go more than you are now!
And when I say "go" you understand I mean you have to get out of the car and go inside and do something exercis-y in there, right?
And oh, Luanne...you could walk there??? Now the real story is coming out...:)
And about the water competiion--You're on! As long as by "water" you mean "tea."
Use that gym membership, girl! You may as well, you're paying for it.
As for the snacks, we all have those days as we are renegotiating our relationship with food. That's the thing: food isn't like cigarettes or something that people can quit cold turkey. We have to eat!! And after doing it wrong for so many years, learning how to do it right is like trying to teach an old dog new tricks. (Not calling you an old dog, just making a point, LOL!)
Hi, my name is Aunt Bossy and I, too was a charity gym member. ("Hi, Aunt Bossy.") But, I'm here to tell you that you can overcome your inertia to become an active, getting-your-money's-worth gym member. You just have to get out of your house and make yourself walk through the door. Easy? No. Worth it? Yes!
So next week, we'll read that you went to the Y at least once, right? Right? I didn't get the nickname Aunt Bossy for nothing, you know...so next week, I'd better read something about what the inside of the Y looks like! And I promise it will feel WONDERFUL to walk through that door & follow through. And you can look forward to all sorts of congratulatory comments on next week's Fitness Friday post! Go Carrie--you can do it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Good for you! I just started a new diet...it's HARD! And the exercise part I haven't even gotten to yet. Sigh.
Good luck!
You are funny - being honest with ourselves is key, huh?! I need a water rule too but I will definitely have to put notes up every where to remind me! I just do not enjoy water at all - unless my body is so parched and I want nothing else which happens not too often (ha ha).
You know, for years my husband and I have been wanting to join the "Y", every year in Jan. is free sign up, well this past Jan. we got signed up, woohooo...we were gonna work out so much, really get in good shape. Guess how many times we have gone?!?!??! You're gonna fall out, one time! I feel so bad...think of the money we have paid over the months and never go, so sad ...
That just cracked me up. I swear that's the same way my mind works. We really have to just make ourselves do it.
My boyfriend is a personal trainer and has his own studio...and I still don't work out...i know im bad I need to start :)
