Did you hear me right???

Well if you heard me say..

I am reading the WHOLE, ENTIRE, BIBLE in 90 days.

YES, you heard me right.

I have officially signed up and have been given a mentor (whom I shall need). I have NEVER, ever in my life signed up for something like this.

Why, you ask.

Well, let me tell you why..

I have VERY little follow through and I can prove it.

I am still overweight.
We do not have our finances in order.
My kids STILL do not know Latin.

See PROVED IT!

I WANT to follow through. I want to do what I say I will. I want to finish the race.

Well I have encouragement. Why because other people have done it, other people with kids, responsibilities, jobs, problems... they have all done it.

So I know that I can too. I posted on Who Put ME in Charge of These People's blog on New Years Eve, she basically posted the pointlessness to resolutions and how we should focus on EVERYDAY goals verses a HUGE, unattainable year long goal.

This is true.

BUT this is 90 days.

90 days.

Surely I can do ANYTHING for 90 days.
Surely I can commit to reading GOD'S WORD for 90 days.
Surely I can put aside selfish wants and spend the time I need to accomplish this for 90 days.

FOR years I have said to my sister.. I want to participate in a charity run.  Well last year I DID!  I completed the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure- I mean I didn't run, but heck I finished!

SO I KNOW I CAN ACCOMPLISH the goals I set before myself.  I just have to want to.

Some days it is hard and that is when you gotta DO IT anyway.  My youth pastor- KEVIN KINCHEN, used to say to us, "when you don't feel like doing X, DO it anyway."  You just sometimes have to make yourself.  You are ALWAYS a better person for it!

So for the next 90 days, I shall be immersing myself in the Word of God!  If you would care to join me, go sign up-- you can catch up!

Good for you! I'm planning to just pick up where I fell off last year in the one year plan. I figure I can read the bible in a year and a half.

I'll be really happy with that too!
